Kongsi Ilmu

Yo (- -)/

But just the basic shooting techniques that I wanna share with you guys because only these I've the knowledge about it. For more details find out by yourself. Takkan dah bagi peha nak betis pula an.

Basic Shooting Technique & Camere Movement :

1) Extreme Wide Shot (EWS) :
- The point of this shot is to show the subject's surroundings.

2) Very Wide Shot (VWS) :
- Much closer to the subject than an EWS, but still much further away than a wide shot.
- The subject is (just) visible here, but the emphasis is very much on placing her in her
environment.

3) Wide Shot (WS) :
- The subject takes up the full frame, or at least as much as possible.

4) Mid Shot (MS) :
- Shows some part of the subject in more detail whilst still giving an impression of the whole
subject.

5) Medium Close Up (MCU) :
- Half away between a MS and a CU.

6) Close Up (CU) :
- A certain feature or part of the subject takes up the whole frame.

7) Extreme Close Up (ECU) :
- The ECU gets right in and shows extreme detail.

8) Cut Away :
- A shot of something other than the current action.

9) Cut In :
- Shows some part of the subject in detail.

10) 2 Shot (Two-shot) :
- A comfortable shot of two people, framed similarly to a mid shot.

11) Over-the-Shoulder Shot (OSS) :
- Looking from behind a person at the subject.

12) Noddy Shot :
- Usually refers to a shot of the interviewer listening and reacting to the subject, although
noddies can be used in drama and other situations.

13) Point-of-View Shot (POV) :
- Shows a view from the subject's perspective.

14) Weather Shot :
- The subject is the weather, usually the sky.
- Can be used for other purposes.

15) Crabbing Shot :
- The term crabbing shot is a less-common version of tracking, trucking and/or dollying.
- These terms are more or less interchangeable, although dollying tends to mean in-and-out
movement whereas the others tend to mean side-to-side movement at a constant distance
from the action.

16) Dolly Shot :
- A dolly is a cart which travels along tracks.
- The camera is mounted on the dolly and records the shot as it moves.
- Dolly shots have a number of applications and can provide very dramatic footage.
- Some professionals prefer the more rigid terminology which defines dolly as in-and-out
movement (i.e. closer/further away from the subject), while tracking means side-to-side
movement.

17) Dolly Zoom Shot :
- Dolly zoom is a cinematic technique in which the camera moves closer or further from the
subject while simultaneously adjusting the zoom angle to keep the subject the same size in
the frame.
- The effect is that the subject appears stationary while the background size changes (this is
called perspective distortion).

18) Follow Shot :
- The Follow shot is fairly self-explanatory.
- It simply means that the camera follows the subject or action.
- The following distance is usually kept more or less constant.

19) Pedestrial Shot :
- A pedestal shot means moving the camera vertically with respect to the subject. This is
often referred to as "pedding" the camera up or down.
- Unlike standard tripods, pedestals have the ability to move the camera in any direction
(left, right, up, down).

20) Pan Shot :
- A pan is a horizontal camera movement in which the camera moves left and right about a
central axis.
- This is a swiveling movement, i.e. mounted in a fixed location on a tripod or shoulder,
rather than a dolly-like movement in which the entire mounting system moves.

21) Tilt Shot :
- A tilt is a vertical camera movement in which the camera points up or down from a
stationary location.
- For example, if you mount a camera on your shoulder and nod it up and down, you are
tilting the camera.
- Tilting is less common than panning because that's the way humans work — we look left
and right more often than we look up and down.

Actually this is my assignment of 'Audi Video Editing in Multimedia' subject. Baru tahun ni ku tengok filem ni :D Itu pun gara2 assignment. Kalau tak ntoh bila nak tengoknya. Dahle tengok sehari sebelum hari untuk presentkan assignment ni. Memangle kerja last minute. Tapi aku puas! Yelah biasa kerja last minute hasilnya tidak memberangsangkan.
Why? Because my way is mine and not like others.
